Connecting Parent Organizations and the Business Community

VNET was founded 2008 by a group of GPS volunteer parents. It began with a discussion of the economic difficulties we are faced with and the desire to connect the Parent Organizations in the school district.

The purpose of this organization is to facilitate the networking opportunities of the Parent Organizations within the Gilbert Public School District. In addition we will work to connect the GPS Parent Organizations with local vendors in the business community and provide training to the Parent Organizations and help them in achieving their goals.

Our main focus is to host a Parent Organization Networking / Vendor Expo each year.
At this Expo, all Parent Organizations, Booster Groups, etc., will be invited to come and participate. Speakers and breakout classes will be offered at the Expo that will provide training to the Parent Organizations and help them in achieving their goals. In addition to the classes and speakers, we will invite 50+ vendors to attend. This will enable better networking with vendors and also make it easier for the Parent Organizations to schedule and plan their events.
During these times of economic difficulties, it is very important to put our dollars where they will have the greatest return. Our time is valuable, our networking is essential. This is why at Gilbert Public Schools we have united all 40 schools together in a Volunteer Network, better know as Vnet.
