All brown paper bags are a different size. Even lunch bags aren’t a standard size, every brand is slightly different. The bags I used for this project are 5″ wide, slightly smaller than a standard lunch bag.

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, So Saffron, Rose Red, Old Olive
Stamp Set: Animal Stories
Accessories: Tall Tales DSP, Sizzlets Little Leaves die-cut, Big Shot, Rectangle Punch, Old Olive Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Velcro Circles, Brown Paper Bag

Cut brown paper bag to 4-1/4″ tall. I choose this height because I work with 8-1/2″ x 11″ cardstock and this means I can get 4 out of one sheet. You can cut the bag to any height you want.

Front panel: Chocolate Chip cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ , layering DSP is 4″ x 5-1/4″.

Back panel: Chocolate Chip cardstock 5-1/2″ x 6-1/4″, scored at 4-1/4″. Layering DSP is 4″ x 5-1/4″ AND 5-1/4″ x 1-3/4″ .

Use the rectangle punch to punch holes for the handles. Insert the ribbon and add adhesive underneath the pieces to hold them to the cardstock.
Adhesive the paper bag to the front piece then fold the bottom of the paper bag down. Put adhesive on the bag not the cardstock and line up the cardstock pieces front to back.
Don’t line up the bag because they are not all straight, just line up the cardstocks.

Side view after the bag is opened.

Close with a Velcro self adhesive circle and embellish as desired.
